29 Students Burnt Alive By Boko Haram in Yobe
29 students and one teacher were killed by Islamic extremists in a boarding school attack in north-east Nigeria.
The survivors gave the tales of those who were burnt alive in the attack that happened just before dawn on Government secondary school in Mamudo town, Yobe state, on Saturday.
Farmer Malam Abdullahi swore to withdraw his three remaining sons from a school nearby as he cried over the bodies of two of his sons burnt alive.
He decried the apparent insecurity despite deployment of soldiers in their thousands.
The Nigeria Federal Government declared a state of emergency in three north-eastern states in mid-May due to Boko Haram terrorist attacks.
Many schools have been burnt and scores of students killed; a fraction of over 1,600 victims that have lost their lives to the ruthless extremists since 2010.
