Escaped Christian Describes North Korea Labor Camp

As America's war of words with North Korea grows more pitched, the plight of Christians in North Korea is capturing more and more attention from the world. 

North Korea is ranked as the most oppressive place in the world for Christians, #1 on the World Watch List, according to the ministry Open Doors International, which serves persecuted Christians worldwide.

Christians are forced to hide their faith in the totalitarian communist regime, in which surveillance is common. Those who do not comply with the national mandate to worship the ruling Kim family suffer dire consequences, including imprisonment, torture, and death.
