Finding God through facebook

In this message we're going to seek out God's face via facebook. "There is a force capable of synchronizing a large population in very little time, thereby creating spontaneous order" Jesse Rice, The Church of facebook "If you think of the kind of things we revere, whether its justice or love or altruism, those things are fundamentally social -- they have to do with interactions with others. So there's a very deep and fundamental connection between social networks and goodness." Nicholas Christakis, Physician and social scientist at Harvard. From Report on Business, p 60, March 2011 "Authentic connection is described as the core of psychological wellbeing and is the essential quality of growth-fostering and healing relationships. In moments of deep connection in relationship, we break out of isolation and contraction into a more whole and spacious state of mind and heart." Psychologist Janet L. Surrey, The Church of facebook, p28 "My prayer is not for them [his disciples] alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." Jesus in John 17:20-23 (praying for us) "God has made us social creatures with strong desires to share our lives with friends and family." ... and ultimately with God! Dr. Quentin Schultze, The Banner, March 2011, "I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." Jesus in John 17:26
