Kid loses Jeopardy after misspelling CORRECT answer

Young Jeopardy! contestant Thomas Hurley III has learned the hard way the importance of proper spelling. In the final round of the Kids Week episode that aired Wednesday, 12-year-old Hurley correctly named the emancipation proclamation as the document from 1863, which Abraham Lincoln called 'a fit and necessary war measure.' The trouble was that the Newtown, Connecticut, eighth-grader slightly misspelled 'emancipation', writing instead 'emanciptation.'
