Police in Kuwait had to paws for thought when they received a 999 call from an anxious member of the public.
The man had called to inform them a powerful-looking lion cub was on the loose in the Bayan area.
Anxious to avoid a cat-astrophe they rushed to the scene - and sure enough found a cub wandering the streets.
People in the area were alarmed, to put it mildly, and had taken shelter.
Officers managed to capture the cub and placed it in a patrol vehicle.
They then delivered it to the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources.
Investigations revealed the lion cub belonged to a man who was raising it as a pet in his house.
He is now facing legal action.
