<p><span>In this lesson we deal primarily with the structure of Hebrew words. Most Hebrew words are&nbsp;</span><br /> <span>built from a set of root letters and from a pattern, into which these root letters are inserted.&nbsp;</span><br /> <span>For example, the root מלך "to reign" gives us the related words מֶלֶךְ "king," מְלוּכָה "kingship, royalty," מִלְכָּה (personal name, probably meaning "queen"), מַמְלָכָה "kingdom," and מֹלֶךְ (personal name of a god, i.e. "divine ruler").</span></p>
