Lust! How big of a problem is it in your life? Where do you struggle most (toward whom)? What would it look like to channel all of your God-given desires in a more spiritually healthy way?
Definition: Lust is the intense desire for sexual pleasure uncoordinated with and unsubmissive to the whole person. Unlike true love, lust has no commitment, it is fleeting, and it never satisfies. You are in the grip of lust when you say to another, even if only in your heart, My needs are more important than your person; you are a means to the end of my satisfaction.
Cornelius Plantinga, Theologian
What Lust is not mere sexual desire, appreciation, or physical admiration
You know the next commandment pretty well, too: 'Don't go to bed with another's spouse.' But don't think you've preserved your virtue simply by staying out of bed. Your heart can be corrupted by lust even quicker than your body. Those leering looks you think nobody notices—they also corrupt. "Let's not pretend this is easier than it really is. If you want to live a morally pure life, here's what you have to do: You have to blind your right eye the moment you catch it in a lustful leer.
Jesus (using a little hyperbole to make his point) in Matthew 5:27-30, MSG
You shall not covet your neighbours wife
The 10 Commandments, Exodus 20:17
Sex is currency/ She sells cars, She sells magazines/ Addictive bittersweet, clap your hands, with the hopeless nicotines
Everyone's a lost romantic, /Since our love became a kissing show Everyone's a Casanova,/Come and pass me the mistletoe Everyone's been scared to death of dying here alone
She is easier than love/ Is easier than life It's easier to fake and smile and bribe
It's easier to leave / It's easier to lie / It's harder to face ourselves at night Feeling alone, What have we done? /What is the monster we've become?
Where is my soul? / Numb
