"I know God forgives, but I cannot forgive myself. What do I do?" It's a common statement, and it usually contributes to a false gospel: "I know Jesus suffered, but I need to suffer, too." Theologically, that is a lie, and it's not humility. The truth is you're forgiven by the highest Lord.
